Sightseeing

 

As well as the sights and museum in the town we recommend trips to Dijon and Beaune, to Châteaux and to the Abbey of Fontenay. Other towns and Cities within easy each include Semur-en-Auxois, Avallon, Auxerre, and Vézelay.

The Côte des Nuits, Côte de Beaune and Chablis are within easy reach, all famous for their wine, and with lovely villages and great places to eat and drink. Bespoke wine tours can be arranged for you.

 

For futher afield, including Paris, please consider a trip by train.

 

Activities outside

 

For lovers of the outdoors the Morvan has lovely walks, climbs and cycle circuits. Sailing and swimming in the summer on the local lakes. The town has tennis courts and a swimming pool within an easy stroll of the house.
